Dental veneers are thin porcelain sheets that are permanently adhered to your teeth to help improve their color, shape and size. We consider your facial features and personal preferences to design the smile of your dreams. Our digital process allows you to preview your results and take an active role on what your new smile will look like.
Our veneers are made from highly resistant porcelain (lithium disilicate). Even though they are extremely thin, they are very strong like your natural teeth. This means that if you take proper care of them, they should not break. All our veneers are custom-made to ensure that they have a perfect fit and comply with what you want.
We know that committing to a cosmetic treatment can be a little scary. Especially if you don’t know for certain what your results are going to be. For that reason, we want you to be fully satisfied with your results even before the final veneers are placed. In your second (optional) appointment, we will place a mockup of your results that will very closely resemble your final veneers. You’ll be able to test-drive your smile and make any modifications you desire until you are fully satisfied and comfortable. Alternatively, we can also provide a digital simulation of your smile.
At Smilers, we always use local anesthesia to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Our 3D printed prep guides limit the amount of enamel that can be removed and make the treatment highly precise and minimally invasive. The procedure is quick, comfortable and should not cause any pain.
Our veneer treatments only require 2-3 dental appointments. However, the actual preparation of the teeth and placement of the veneers happens in the last visit. Traditional veneers are prepped using a free-hand technique and are placed one-by-one. At Smilers, we use preparation guides and cementation guides to make the process as quick and precise as possible. On average, 10 veneers take us 90 minutes, nearly a 75% reduction compared to competitors.
No. Our treatment allows us to prepare teeth and cement in one appointment which eliminates the need for temporaries. You will only use temporaries if you already have dental veneers and wish to substitute them with new ones.
If you take good care of your new smile, your results can last for decades. Each case is highly individual but dental veneers are highly resistant and can stand the pass of time.
Our workflow significantly reduces the amount of time and appointments required to get the results you want. This involves less man hours for our dentists, dental assistants and other related costs which translates into lower prices for you. At Smilers we charge per smile and not per veneer. Get one arch (10 veneers) for $8,000 and two arches (20 veneers) for $12,000. This represents savings of nearly 50% compared to competitors.
Every case is unique, as such, the number of veneers you require can vary. Veneers are usually performed symmetrically, which means that if one veneer is placed on one side, another veneer should be placed on the same tooth on the opposite side. We will evaluate your case individually and provide individualized feedback during your evaluation.
The exact amount of dental structure that will be removed will vary from case to case. Nevertheless, we strive to be as conservative as possible and aim to protect the structure of your natural tooth. Our preparation guides limit the amount of structure that your dentist will remove and ensure that the preparations will be extremely precise and as conservative as possible. This level of control and precision is unattainable using traditional methods.
Veneers can improve the color, shape, and size of your teeth, better lip support and enhance your facial tissues. Although they will not directly modify your face, they can provide fullness and brightness than can give you a more youthful and enhanced appearance.
Take care of your veneers as if you were taking care of your teeth. We want your results to be long-lasting, so you can show off your smile for many years to come. So please follow the following care instructions to maximize the life of your new smile:
Recommendations:
1. Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste for at least two minutes.
2. Floss your teeth once a day and use an alcohol-free mouthwash.
3. Complete all required revision appointments. These will happen a few days after the initial cementation, 1 month, and 3 months after your treatment.
4. Visit your dentist every 6 months for a routine checkup.
5. Use your protective nightguard to protect the veneers from involuntary movements or teeth grinding while sleeping. In some cases, your dentist will recommend wearing a mouthguard while working out.
Avoid:
1. Chewing hard candy and ice.
2. Nuts, chewy meat, hard candy, or other hard foods can cause breakage.
3. Using your teeth as tools. For example, don’t pry off a bottle cap with your teeth.
4. Sticky candies like caramel can pull the veneers loose.
5. Smoking.
Yes. We recommend all patients use a nightguard to protect the veneers from any involuntary movement or clenching that could happen at night. This will prevent fractures and any wear and tear that could happen at night. A nightguard is automatically included in the price of the treatment.
